Christy joined the Back to Health Chiropractic team in 2018 and has enjoyed every moment of her time learning about the chiropractic world and witnessing how the body has the ability to heal itself without interference. Through regular adjustments she has experienced less pain and her allergies are under control. One of her favorite things has been meeting new people and traveling to many new states for seminars. In the office, she has earned the title of “baby whisperer”. She loves entertaining babies and children while their parents are in the office getting adjusted.
Christy grew up in the small northwest Iowa town of Holstein, moving to Des Moines in 2002 to pursue her degree at Grand View University where she graduated with her BA in Psychology. She started her career working in childcare and spent 8 years working with children, followed by time spent in retail and recruiting. She loves connecting people and helping them follow their dreams andin 2020 received her life coach certification.
Christy is responsible for scheduling, billing, answering phones and other various tasks around the office. In addition, she is also the Wellness Coordinator for a group called the Wellness Champions. The group’s goal is to bring wellness to your workplace with education on many health topics. Everyone is welcome to host an informative wellness event in his or her office. Christy has also spent extra hours training with DoTerra essential oils. She is very passionate about essential oils and believes everyone should use them. She loves to educate others on their benefits and uses and will be hosting several workshops per year. Be sure to check out the latest class. If you have any questions or need recommendations about oils, be sure to ask.
Outside of the Office
In her free time, Christy enjoys watching sports but especially loves football and tennis. She believes every season has its perks but really loves fall when she can support the Iowa Hawkeyes! She also enjoys reading, watching TV shows, shopping, crafting and spending time with family and friends. People have heard of coffee connoisseurs, well Christy is an ice cream connoisseur. Her favorite flavor is Monster Cookie, but her new favorite place for ice cream is Bean & Leaf Cafe. Did you know that she is also an amateur concert photographer? Ask to see her portfolio. She loves getting in front of the stage and rocking out to her favorite country music artists!
